Financial Advisor, RJFS
Lauren comes to Stonegate Financial with immense enthusiasm to put her experience in the area of financial planning to use. With a passion for developing relationship-based partnerships with clients, Lauren embraces a comprehensive approach that goes beyond the balance sheet to the personal goals and motivations of each individual she meets. Lauren strives to help families dream bigger and live fully through all stages of life.
The youngest of three and originally from Northwest Wisconsin (GO PACK!), Lauren benefitted from the experience of seeing her parents work with a personal financial advisor who assisted them with a wide range of goals including undergraduate education planning for her and her siblings. It was through the choice of attending graduate school out-of-state that Lauren fully grasped the weight and responsibility of student loans. This first-hand experience made her realize the real value of financial planning for parents and young adults as they navigate education and goal planning amidst debt.
Lauren received her bachelor's degree in vocal performance from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She then earned a master's degree in vocal performance from the University of Iowa. From her initial role in the financial services as an administrative assistant, Lauren learned that coaching people to meet their financial goals was where she found the most fulfillment. Lauren earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification through the Duke University CFP® program in 2016 and her Retirement Income Certified Professional designation (RICP®) in 2021.
A trained opera singer, Lauren is active in the local theatre scene and has been a member of the North Carolina Opera chorus. She enjoys giving private voice lessons and teaching music to children and teens at the Raleigh Area Children's Theatre. When she's not performing or teaching, she and her fiancé, Brett, enjoy working in the yard and reading voraciously on the porch at their home in Wendell. She also enjoys exploring the local restaurant scene, watching football, and playing games of all sorts.
Lauren and Brett recently found a lovable dog named Jack to join their family! Jack often comes to the office with Lauren and is now training to be a full-time greeter!
